Clicky pageview reporting

Clicky is this website’s reporting service. Basic cookie-free pageviews are counted by default unless you opt out. They support page, referrer and approximate geographic reports. Additional tracking remains off. Declining, a previous refusal, Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control keeps analytics off. Earlier choices that declined Clicky remain respected.

Clicky receives an approved public pathname, a fixed pageview label, a referrer without query or fragment, and ordinary browser, screen, language, time zone and connection information. It receives the connection’s IP address and can provide approximate location and visitor/session reports. Its script runs in the page and can access page information. Cookie-free reporting is not described as anonymous.

Tracking cookies, full-IP consent overrides, heatmaps, background pings, automatic link/media tracking and high-entropy device requests remain disabled. No custom contact clicks, form events, audio plays, names, email addresses or visitor identifiers are supplied. Requests with potentially identifying custom campaign fields, referrer queries or old tracking cookies are excluded.

Clicky is provided by Roxr Software Ltd. Its privacy policy describes processing and retention. Clicky’s visitor/session counts are estimates and are not the same as aggregate pageview totals. This website does not promise 30-day deletion of Clicky data.

Your choices

Your choice and its date are stored in this browser’s local storage. Permission expires after 180 days. Refusals stay in effect until you change them or remove browser storage. Earlier refusals remain respected. Browser privacy signals override permission.

Turning analytics off stops future collection and refreshes the page to unload any already loaded Clicky code. It cannot undo a request already sent. Contact me about previously collected Clicky information.

Hosting and previously collected totals

The separate first-party counter introduced on October 18 is disabled. Previously stored daily totals remain private and are not forwarded to Clicky. Their storage rule makes them eligible for deletion after 30 days; deletion runs asynchronously.

Microsoft Azure still processes connection information to operate, secure and troubleshoot this website. Provider operational and security records follow Microsoft’s service policies and are separate from analytics reports; this website does not promise those records contain no IP addresses or are erased within 30 days. Existing security monitoring is preserved.

Contact and embedded content

Email and phone links let you contact me directly. Videos on the listening page load YouTube’s privacy-enhanced player only when you choose to play them. Other embedded content and external links follow the provider’s privacy policy. This website also requests fonts from Google Fonts.
